The Chambersburg Half Marathon is held in memory of Robert Eyer, Sr. (1926-2001), who died while running. Bob was an avid, competitve runner and was a member of the Chambersburg Road Runners Club. The Chambersburg Half Marathon was his favorite race.
The Chambersburg Half Marathon has drawn a diverse group of people each year. During the first year Jean Stapleton (Edith on "All in the Family") was a spectator cheering on the runners. Many Olympic hopefuls have participated in the race.
In 2021 Jeremy Ardanuy broke the 20 year old course record of Steve Spence, who ran for the United States at the Olympic Games in Barcelona (1992), with a time of 1:08:09. The female record of 1:17:03 was set in 2023 by Julien Webster. She ran the 46th running of this race so lots of fast ladies have run this course. Julien broke the prior 2 year old record by over 2 minutes!NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONSYOU MUST BE 13 OR OLDER ON RACE DAYNO REFUNDS FOR WEATHER OR ANY REASONNO BIB TRANSFERS

Timing |
Timing for this race will be provided by Timber Hill Timing.
Everyone will start together with a gun/whistle/siren/"GO".
The finish will be chip timed. Your time and place will be taken automatically from your timing chip.
Your finish time will be calculated from the starting gun and your chip finish time to give your gun time.
All awards will be determined by gun time meaning the first person across the finish line is the winner.
You are responsible for wearing your race bib and timing chip properly! All runners must wear a timing chip on their shoe in order to receive a time and to be eligible for awards. Click here for instructions on attaching your timing chip.
Runners must wear their bib number on their chest in order to be identified in case of a timing chip failure.
Failure to wear your timing chip on your shoe or your bib number on your chest may result in a disqualification at the discretion of the Race Director or Timber Hill Timing.
Please be patient!Timber Hill Timing strives to produce accurate and timely results but like any technology it is not perfect and 100% reliable. We employ several backup measures in case the timing system is not working as planned. Depending on the issue, there may be a delay in producing the results. Accurate results will always be a higher priority than quick results. Please be patient as we work to resolve any problems that may arise at a race.
Occasionally results will not be available before you leave the race, but they will be posted on the website as soon as results can be verified.
